If you have been following us, I'm sure you have heard Glamrocks was just a part of Fashion Week for 3 cities! This was a first for us, and I couldn't have been more excited!

We were honored to be asked to join the Flying Solo group at the beginning of the year, which is a brilliant collaborative business model for designers giving them a platform to showcase and sell their work. In addition to having a dedicated spot in their SoHo store, they put on an official runway show for New York and Paris Fashion Weeks.

All I can say is my NYC experience was the best of my career, it came really close to topping my wedding day! As a newbie it just seemed like organized chaos of models, makeup, designers, photographers all rushing around, the energy was crazy good. I couldn't believe how big of a production the show was and all the moving parts it took to put on a show like this. There were 50 designers that came together to create over 200 runway looks, all put together in a couple days by the amazing stylist, Gloria Johnson.

I was fortunate to get paired with Rora Clothing who had a New Mexico inspiration for her collection, which matched our Southwestern inspired collection perfectly! Designer Emily Gills was so great she included a few of our pieces for her runway show for London Fashion Week with Oxford Studios, photos below.

I just couldn't swing a last minute trip to Paris, which I do regret, but after 6 days in Tucson gem shopping, then going directly NYC for another week, I really needed to get back to work. The photos from this show are AMAZING, what a gorgeous room! Mickey Boom styled these looks to perfection!
